PRODUCTS: PrePlanner

PrePlanner is a is a planning tool (written in Macromedia FlashMX). It is run within a standard web browser and so requires no complicated install on any users machine. It allows your editorial and advertising staff try out ideas for page plans without effecting your live editions, yet still with the ability to import these plans into your live environment. Shapes are created as easily as placing the mouse cursor over a page, and pressing a single key to create a shape on that page. Shapes can be easily dragged to different positions on any page. You can change a shape (width, depth, displayed text) from the Shape Edit menu which can be invoked using a single key press with the mouse cursor over the shape to be edited. PrePlanner gives you the ability to create a collection of shapes and save them as a template that can be dragged from the templates list onto your plan. For example, you have a regular six page feature that always has half page vertical ads on the right hand pages, you can design this template and save it to the templates list. Each time you create a plan for a new issue, adding the six page feature is as simple as dragging it from the templates list onto the start page in the plan. Flatplans can be printed in full colour or optimized for black and white.

PrePlanner has a full compliment of normal web page based configuration pages to administer your page sizes (columns, cm's, column gap, spine width etc..), editions, publications, shape types, appearance colours etc...

   PrePlanner is compatible with:
